Hey people!!! Hope that ur first day is fine ya! hahas. Anyways. Here are some reminders so far from the first day of school. Please check class blog frequently k? Here to give you guys directions on how to go to the chalet.
P.S* Its not downtown or aloha.
So don't take bus or head directly there...
Instead..
Its rather near to the center of PASIR RIS PARK-around the fisherman village there.

For people that are taking cab down.
Its 110 pasir ris road.

For people that are taking bus.
From Pasir ris bus interchange.
Take 403 bus.
Alight at the stop where you see the bus go down this stretch of bungalows.
The bus will make a loop turn.
And alight at the very stop .
The chalet should be 3-4 house away from the corner house.
So see you guys at the chalet on 2nd April!

HELLOOOOO people!

Now today's the day where we officially start our unofficial holiday even though our official holiday starts this sat. First i wanna congratulate everyone for managing to get through this tough period of time. hahaa As u peeps know we are going to Sentosa as a class outing on the 28th December so plz keep that day free. Its a Friday so those who have work plz take leave on that day. Here's roughly the program.

We are gonna meet at Harbourfront mrt control station. Time to be confirmed. ( cos i forgot )
bring along some snacks like chips and maybe some drinks. we will pop by the nearby coffeeshop to takeaway our lunch. You could buy something like nasi lemak. since the coffeeshop over at sentosa is gonna be expensive so it is recommended that u bring something over there.
For those who has volleyball or soccer ball do bring them along. If u wanna bring basketball its ok too.

Lunch will be the food that u brought to sentosa. Own time own makan.

As for dinner we will go for a buffet. place of the buffet to be comfirmed but plz bring about 25 for the day.

Attire:

Boys: Can wear anything!! haha. black not recommended. might wanna tone ur body a bit. At least i am ^^

Girls: As much as i hate to say this but unless u are prepared to show off ur beautiful body dun wear white. u never knnow when ur gonna get splashed. If u wanna wear bikini even better.

ADDING / DROPPING MODULES [22-26 Oct]

Dear C167,

Hey people! know that some of you couldnt make it for the semester briefing yesterday, so here are some impt points to note for this new semester!

One of the most crucial things for the 1st week of sch is the adding/dropping of modules - IT 2-2-53/57 . To drop/add modules, u cant exceed 28CU nor be lower than 15CU (this includes CDS). Also, changing of classes to your conveniences is not permitted. Please note that printing of timetable before and after the add/drop is essential.

There are still quite alot of stuff mentioned, like IND day, competitions, field trips and CCN day. Sorry i didnt take them down in time. But they aint as crucial =X Hahas. Another new joke. This is long but it is made up of many different stories. Enjoy!

Some Boeing employees on the airfield decided to steal a life raft from one of the 747s. They were successful in getting it out of the plane and home. When they took it for a float on the river, a Coast Guard helicopter coming towards them surprised them. It turned out that the chopper was homing in on the emergency locator beacon which activated when the raft was inflated.
They are no longer employed at Boeing.

A true story out of San Francisco: A man, wanting to rob a downtown Bank of America, walked into the branch and wrote "this iz a stikkup. Put all your muny in this bag." While standing in line, waiting to give his note to the teller, he began to worry that someone had seen him write the note and might call the police before he reached the teller window. So he left the Bank of America and crossed the street to Wells Fargo.

After waiting a few minutes in line, he handed his note to the Wells Fargo teller. He read it and, surmising from his spelling errors that he wasn't the brightest light in the harbor, told him that she could not accept his stickup note because it was written on a Bank of America deposit slip and that he would either have to fill out a Wells Fargo deposit slip or go back to Bank of America. Looking somewhat defeated, the man said "OK" and left.

He was arrested a few minutes later, as he was waiting in line back at Bank of America.

A motorist was unknowingly caught in an automated speed trap that measured his speed using radar and photographed his car. He later received in the mail a ticket for $40 and a photo of his car. Instead of payment, he sent the police department a photograph of $40. Several days later, he received a letter from the police that contained another picture, this time of handcuffs. He immediately mailed in his $40.

A Guy walked into a little corner store with a shotgun and demanded all the cash from the cash drawer. After the cashier put the cash in a bag, the robber saw a bottle of scotch that he wanted behind the counter on the shelf. He told the cashier to put it in the bag as well, but he refused and said, "Because I don't believe you are over 21."

The robber said he was, but the clerk still refused to give it to him because he didn't believe him. At this point the robber took his driver's license out of his wallet and gave it to the clerk. The clerk looked it over, and agreed that the man was in fact over 21 and he put the scotch in the bag. The robber then ran from the store with his loot. The cashier promptly called the police and gave the name and address of the robber that he got off the license.

They arrested the robber two hours later.

A pair of Michigan robbers entered a record shop nervously waving revolvers. The first one shouted, "Nobody move!"

When his partner moved, the startled first bandit shot him.

Ann Arbor: The Ann Arbor News crime column reported that a man walked into a Burger King in Ypsilanti, Michigan at 12:50 am flashed a gun and demanded cash.

The clerk turned him down because he said the couldn't open the cash register without a food order. When the man ordered onion rings, the clerk said they weren't available for breakfast. The man, frustrated, walked away.

Changes for C167 vacation gathering

Dear C167,

Hey people. Just now de girls went to discuss with Miss Natasha about this vacation gathering, and instead of a Chalet, it's changed to bbq. Hope everyone is cool with it. And the bbq wud be held in the afternoon till evening, venue most probably East Coast.. People who wanna stay after that also can ^^ ..

Anyway the reasons for changing the event and time is because

- BBQ is much easier to plan, and shall keep it simple for the first plan.
- 7th lunar month, so better not stay chalet/overnite. (Sorry about this reason, but as a respect lurhs, sorry ppl)

And the date is not set yet, please vote yarh. The given dates available is only 10-13 .. Then sm1 will go and book. We cant make it de week straight after exams because Miss Natasha wun be free. Then follow by our fellow Malay friends having hari raya so we cant have it at the time. Therefore these are de available dates.

Okie dokie, the rest will be left for Daryl to finish de plan, do assist Daryl yarh. And if BBQ able to be booked then abt de food we'll discuss about it after exams!

ANNOUNCEMENT

I hereby announce the enactment of the new principle of monetary collection:

P.F.C
aka
Pay For Chalet scheme

Consultation with the financial officer(me, of course) and also comments by other members has warrant our need to finance an up-and-coming Chalet Trip during our holidays

Each member is required to pay at least 10 bucks, which will be collected on either the first or second day of our exams.

A list will be made to ensure all who pays, pays and those who don't, will be charged an interest of 10% effective from the day after the second payment date.

Instalment is currently not available due to the poor customer reception.

So please, contribute to make this chalet a success.

The voting has ended n according to the majorities' reponses, we gonna have our turns in printing notes for the class. I know that semester 1.2 is coming to an end, so the priting will start again on semester 2.1 (i think semester 2.1 we still same class) ... hahas. Yupp. So below are the list of names. I will send you all the answer sheet for TUTORIAL 12 on CSS. Sorry ah, the hard copies are with me, i printed for you peeps but didnt manage to gave some of you. Hahas.

Alrighty~ And Hope Lenon can finish the name list soon so that everyone can start giving him the class funds. Pay class funds alrite ^^ Cos we most probably will have a chalet on the first week of out vacation (September) .. And if i got the chance i cook Korokkes(Japanese food) for u all to try. Ok?

One day in the great forest a magical frog was having a walk. This forest was so big that the frog had never seen another animal in all his life. By chance he saw a bear chasing a rabbit for dinner. The frog called for the two to stop and said, "Because you are the only two animals I have seen, I will grant you both three wishes. Bear, you go first."

For the last wish the bear thought for awhile and then said, "I wish that all the bears in the world, besides me, were female."

Four men got together to play golf one sunny morning. As they were heading out to the course, one of them was detained by a phone call.

APEL & Cmath tut: There wont be Apel for tmr (except the 8 who haven't hand in their portfolio to Miss Natasha). Therefore, lessons starts at 9am! WHEE~~ Oh! Bring cmath term test paper to hand in if u have not.

Break time 10am-12pm: WOOHOO~ We gonna have our brunch at SUGARLOAF for tmr's first break! It's beside the swimming pool. The pastries there are worth n rather nice. Hope that most of u will be going! (organised by Daryl)

Class fund: From tmr onwards, $2 of class funds wud be collected by Lenon every friday. (Those who gave $4 last wk, need not give for this wk)

CMSY presentation: Presentation on the upcoming wednesday (25/07). Finish up the final Interim Report.

VISLI: Hmwk for the wk - Go to istockphoto.com to print out ur research on an A4 paper, n finish the 3 concepts.

CMSK make up lesson: One of our lessons fall on the 9th August (National Day), hence, the make up lesson is on 08/08 (WED) from 2-4pm.

Hi ma dears...

Sorry i've gotta abuse this blog to comment on the WDS. Now that there's time, please review your WDS site.

Common mistakes:

1. Horizontal Scrollbar

2. Files all over the place, i had to guess which folder to click

3. Fonts not consistent

4. Not attractive graphics (nothing personal ok)

Go look at other classes' sites and don't be discouraged but be motivated to outdo them. Fight on. I'll be available whole of next week for consultation if you guys need me.

PLEASE don't wait till week 16 then panic. I see already also panic and give panic marks.

Woo-hoo... i'm gonna go Sabah for whitewater rafting tomorrow (Fri - Sun). Did i tell u guys i m water phobic?
